Title:
DRY ICE PRODUCTION SYSTEM USING ATMOSPHERIC CARBON DIOXIDE AS GAS SOURCE AND CAPABLE OF SUPPLYING AIR FOR AIR CONDITIONING
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2023/228457
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[Problem] CCU technology is being researched and developed by various companies and institutions around the world. However, there are many problems to be addressed, for example, the cost of recovering carbon dioxide gas, the kind of valuable conversion products, conversion costs, equipment costs and commercial viability. The present invention proposes a high value-added CCU system that has potential for future development and is usable for supplying air for air conditioning. [Solution] An energy-efficient and compact dry ice production system that uses atmospheric carbon dioxide as a gas source and is capable of supplying air for air conditioning, said system comprising a wet TSA carbon dioxide gas separation and concentration unit, a saturated vapor generator, a gas cooler, a gas compressor, a dehumidifier, a gas liquefaction unit, a refrigerator, a gas purification tank and a dry ice production unit, wherein the waste heat generated by each unit is recovered and used as a heat source for the separation and concentration unit, the unliquefied gas from post-liquefaction purification is used to purge the separation and recovery concentration unit, and the unsublimated gas from the dry ice production unit is recovered.
