Abstract:
A dry mate connector (10) has a plug module (14), a receptacle module (12), and a coupling sleeve (17) mounted on the receptacle module for releasably securing the modules together in a mated position, the coupling sleeve projecting forwardly from the receptacle module for receiving the forward end of the plug module. The plug and receptacle modules each have at least one contact (74) for communication with the contact (25) of the other module within a contact chamber defined by the coupling sleeve in the mated position, providing a seal at each end of the contact chamber, forming a high pressure barrier.
