Disclosed is a dry suit for underwater use equipped with a waterproof fastener device (30) which is provided all the way between the shoulder portions of both arms in such a way as to traverse the chest section of a dry suit body (20) in the direction of the chest width, which is operated by opening and closing an aperture (22) that serves to allow a human body to get in and out, and which demarcates the aperture. This device is provided in a straight lateral line in the chest width direction in such a way as to be configured as a double structure comprising a first waterproof fastener (40), and a second waterproof fastener (50) which is located above the first waterproof fastener in the vertical direction. Furthermore, said device is equipped with a reinforcing member which is connected to a liner together with two tapes of the first waterproof fastener, starting from the backside of this first waterproof fastener and proceeding along the outer peripheries of said two tapes, and which includes an open angle restricting device that restricts the open angle of said two tapes opened by a slider of the first waterproof fastener, when said slider is at a stop after being moved to a lower stop position, said lower stop position being the maximum open position of the first waterproof fastener.
