Abstract:
Disclosed is a drying device for hydrous substances, which can reliably and continuously dry hydrous substances including vegetables, bean curd refuse, fish offal, sludge, etc., using hot air. A cylindrical hollow chamber (102) is horizontally disposed, and an upper hollow chamber (107) which is shaped like a box and which has a lower end communicating with the hollow chamber (102), is disposed. A hot air flow changing plate (11) for changing the flow of hot air is vertically disposed on the upper portion within the upper hollow chamber (107). A hot air supply path (103) is disposed in the direction of the tangent to the circumference of the hollow chamber (102) so as to have a tip end which is open at the peripheral surface of the hollow chamber (102) in the vicinity of the bottom of the hollow chamber (102). A hydrous substance supply path (104) is vertically disposed so as to have a tip end which is open at the peripheral surface of the hollow chamber (102) between the upper hollow chamber (107) and the hot air supply path (103). An outlet (108) through which the hydrous substances that have been dried are removed, is projected on one of the side faces of the upper hollow chamber (107).
