Abstract:

Provided is a drying device which is capable of efficiently and stably drying an object to be dried and has conveyance blades with excellent durability. A drying device 10 is equipped with: a cylindrical housing 7 which houses a pair of screw conveyors 100 that each have conveyance blades 8y on the outer periphery of a tubular shaft body 90y allowing a heat carrier to flow therethrough; a motor 11 which causes the screw conveyors 100 to rotate; an input path 7a which is provided so as to be continuous with the cylindrical housing 7 on the leader 100a side of the screw conveyors 100; and a discharge path 7b which is provided so as to be continuous with the cylindrical housing 7 on the end 100b side of the screw conveyors 100. The input path 7a and the discharge path 7b are provided with path opening/closing means 30, 40, respectively. The screw conveyors 100 are equipped with: a pair of tubular shaft bodies 90y which are arranged substantially parallel to each other; and a plurality of semicircular conveyance blades 8y which are mounted on the outer periphery of each of the tubular shaft bodies 90y so as to form a portion of the virtual spiral surface about the tubular shaft body 90y, the conveyance blades 8y being partially formed from an abrasion-resistant material.
