Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4th-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE). A method, apparatus, and computer-readable medium for video tone mapping. The method includes processing video data into a first video component and a second video component and applying tone mapping to the first video component. The method further includes scaling the second video component. The method further includes generating a tone mapped video by combining the tone-mapped first video component with the scaled second video component.
