Abstract:
With the objective of the present invention being, during operation in an individual combustion mode in which only liquid fuel is injected, to smoothly transition to a dual-combustion mode from the individual combustion mode without occluding the injection opening of a gaseous fuel injection device, when transitioning to the individual combustion mode, an electromagnetic opening/closing valve (V1) is closed, and gaseous fuel is cut off. Next, an electromagnetic opening/closing valve (V3) is opened, and the gaseous fuel remaining in a gaseous fuel supply pathway (50) is released out of the system. Next, an electromagnetic opening/closing device (V2) is opened, introducing a substitution gas from a substitution gas retention tank (44) to the gaseous fuel supply pathway (50) and substituting the gaseous fuel supply pathway (50) with the substitution gas. Once the substitution is complete, the electromagnetic opening/closing valves (V2, V3) are closed. Next, the electromagnetic opening/closing valve (V2) is opened, and the substitution gas is injected from a gaseous fuel injector (26) to a combustion chamber (c).
