Abstract:

Provided is a dual guide crane which comprises one or more crane pillars, a perpendicular guide able to move perpendicularly along the crane pillar(s), and a horizontal guide able to move horizontally along the perpendicular guide; wherein containers are guided and conveyed by means of the perpendicular guide and the horizontal guide. When the dual guide crane according to the present invention is employed, containers can be accurately and quickly placed in a stable fashion in the desired position in a ship cargo-handling area without being shaken or tilted despite spreader movement or sea waves and wind.
