Abstract:

This dual IC card is provided with: an IC module, which has an IC chip that is provided with both a contact-type transmission function and a non-contact-type transmission function, and a module base material having an external terminal, i.e., a contact-type transmission unit, and a connection coil, i.e., a non-contact-type transmission unit; an antenna sheet that has an antenna base material having a first surface and a second surface, a coupling coil, which includes a second surface coil that is provided on the second surface of the antenna base material, and which can be electromagnetically coupled with the connection coil of the IC module, and an antenna coil connected to the coupling coil for the purpose of performing non-contact communication with a non-contact-type external apparatus; and a board-like card main body, which houses inside the antenna sheet, and which has a recessed section for housing the IC module. When viewed in the thickness direction of the card main body, at least a part of the second surface coil is disposed in a region, in which the recessed section of the card main body is formed.
