Abstract:
Provided is a duct boring device in which an indented valve seat formed in an inner surface of a neck portion can be brought into contact with a work valve body in a clean state without causing any trouble due to infiltration of machining dust generated as a result of boring, and which thereby is capable of maintaining a high degree of sealing performance. This duct boring device at least comprises: a housing 5 having a divided structure that is to be externally fitted, in a tightly sealed state, to a fluid duct 1; a work valve 3 equipped with a work valve body 31 that is brought into contact with and is separated from an indented valve seat 5i provided inside a neck portion 5d of the housing 5; and a boring machine 7 equipped with a cutter 72 that is inserted in the housing 5 and that bores a fluid duct 1 in a state of uninterrupted flow, wherein provided is a cylindrical part 75a that moves in such a manner as to be able to open and close an opening of the indented valve seat 5i inside the neck portion 5d.
