Abstract:
Provided is a duct for which a crimped portion does not easily detach even when increasing the thickness and/or the number of layers of a sheet material. This duct has a strip of sheet material 31 crimped on a core material 20 having a spiral form and is characterized in that: the core material 20 formed from a metal sheet strip comprises two holding portions that are formed by way of bending both edges in the longitudinal direction to face each other, and an intermediate part 25 that is between the two holding portions; the two holding portions each comprise a first portion 22 that includes the distal end of the holding portion and a second portion 24 that extends from the first portion, wherein the first portions 22 and second portions 24 form an obtuse angle in a cross section that includes the central axis of the duct; and each edge of the sheet material 31 that face each other in the longitudinal direction encloses a filament body 11 in an internal space of the core material formed by the two holding portions and the intermediate part of the core material, and the edges and the filament bodies are compressed between the holding portions and the intermediate part.
