Abstract:
Provided is a reversing assistance device suitable for a dump truck for mining. A first distance to a first object to be detected, which is positioned at a first height including the trajectory of a rear wheel of a dump truck during reversing, and a second distance to a second object to be detected, which is positioned at a second height including the trajectory of a vessel during reversing are measured. The position of the first object to be detected is calculated. When the distance between the position of the first object to be detected and a specific loading position specified by an operator of a loader is equal to or less than a threshold value, the first object to be detected is determined to be an object allowed access. Moreover, the shorter distance among the first distance and the second distance is determined as a target stopping distance, and a target stopping position is calculated on the basis thereof.
