Abstract:
Provided is a duplex stainless steel material that has a yield strength of not less than 586 MPa, excellent low-temperature toughness, and excellent corrosion resistance. A duplex stainless steel material according to the present disclosure comprises, in terms of mass%, not more than 0.030% C, 0.20-1.00% Si, 0.50-7.00% Mn, not more than 0.040% P, not more than 0.020% S, not more than 0.100% Al, 4.20-9.00% Ni, 20.00-30.00% Cr, 0.50-2.00% Mo, 1.50-4.00% Cu, 0.150-0.350% N, and 0.01-1.50% V, with the remainder being Fe and impurities, and satisfies formula (1) provided in the description. The microstructure comprises 30.0-70.0% by volume of ferrite, with the remainder being austenite. The yield strength is not less than 586 MPa. The number density of Cu deposits having a long diameter of not more than 50 nm in the austenite is 150-1500/μm3.
