Abstract:
Provided is a duplex stainless steel material having excellent general corrosion resistance and pitting corrosion resistance in a supercritical corrosion environment of supercritical CO2 gas containing SOX gas and O2 gas. The duplex stainless steel material of the present disclosure has the chemical composition described in the specification, wherein assuming that the contents of respective elements are within the ranges described in the specification, Fn defined by expression (1) is 44.0 or greater, and the total number of Mn sulfides having an equivalent circle diameter of 1.0 µm or greater and Ca sulfides having an equivalent circle diameter of 2.0 µm or greater per 1 mm2 is 0.50/mm2 or less. Expression (1): Fn = Cr + 3.3 (Mo + 0.5 W) + 16 N + 2 Ni + Cu + 2 Co + 10 Sn Here, the element symbols in expression (1) are substituted with the contents of the corresponding elements by mass%.
