Abstract:
One disclosure of the present disclosure provides a method by which a remote UE performs communication. The method comprises the steps of: establishing a first PDU session with a base station; transmitting, to the base station, a message requesting to establish a second PDU session, wherein one of the first PDU session and the second PDU session is for a direct path between the remote UE and the base station and the other one of the first PDU session and the second PDU session is for an indirect path through a PC5 connection with a relay UE between the remote UE and the base station; receiving a response message from the base station, wherein the response message includes an establishment approval message for the second PDU session, the response message includes an indication that a configuration of a disjoint UP path for the first PDU session and the second PDU session has failed, and the disjoint UP path is for duplication transmission through the first PDU session and the second PDU session; releasing the PC5 connection with the relay UE on the basis of the indication; and selecting a new relay UE.
