A dust collection adapter (1) for a rotary cutter, wherein the dust collection adapter (1) exhibits excellent dust collecting ability without being connected to a dust collector and is conveniently used in work sites at high places and closed places. A dust collection adapter (1) is provided with a first cover section (10) having formed thereon an inner wall (15) and a powder dust discharging duct (11), and also with a second cover section (20) for forming a hollow space (50) and a powder dust path (51), the hollow spade (50) having formed therein an inner wall (25), connected to the first cover section (10), and containing a cutter (101).  At least either of the inner walls (15, 25) of the first and second cover sections (10, 20) is provided with a projection (22) which, in the front region in the direction of cutting by the cutter, projects toward a side surface of the received cutter (101).  A sealing member partitions the powder dust path (51) and the hollow space (50) and closes a gap between side surfaces of the cutter (101) and the inner walls (15, 25).
