Abstract:
A simply-structured dust condensing passage for promoting condensation by
increasing number of collisions of particles with one another in dust, thereby
reducing the number of particles and increasing the apparent sizes of particles.
The dust condensing passage comprises, as a passage through which air containing
dust flows, an extension pipe (502), a suction hose (504), and connection part
(505), a frictional charging path (161) disposed in the extension pipe (502)
and adapted for frictionally charging dust, and a collision promoting path (162)
disposed in the connection part (505) and adapted for promoting formation of
dust clusters by causing the particles of the dust charged in the frictional charging
path (161) to collide with one another. The frictional charging path (161) has
a first frictional charging section formed of a first material and a second frictional
charging section formed of a second material. The collision promoting path
(162) is formed of a third material the contact potential of which is lower than
that of the first material and higher than that of the second material.
