Abstract:
An actuator has a hollow track rail (6) in which an axially extending slit is formed, a moving block (7) provided inside the track rail (6) and movable along the track rail (6), a drive mechanism (17) for moving the moving block (7) in the axial direction of the track rail (6), supporting columns (18, 19) for supporting end sections in the axial direction of the track rail (6), and a cover member (21) for covering, in a cross section perpendicular to the axial direction of the track rail (6), the entire track rail (6)and telescopable in the axial direction of the track rail (6). Further, a part (7a) of the moving block (7), which part (7a) projects from the slit (8) of the track rail (6), penetrates through the cover member (21). Therefore, in the actuator or a motion guide device, the inside of the actuator or can be almost perfectly sealed.
