Abstract:
According to the present invention, a dust D containing zinc is indirectly heated in a rotating rotary kiln 10, thereby gasifying the zinc contained in the dust; a treated gas G containing the gasified zinc is sucked by a suction tube 30 and is led to the outside of the rotary kiln; and the gasified zinc is cooled so as to be recovered in a state of crude zinc oxide by a zinc recovery device, while blowing a combustion assisting gas into a discharge-side portion of the rotary kiln.
