Title:
DYE-CONTAINING NANOPARTICLE FOR PHOTOACOUSTIC CONTRAST AGENT
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/125232
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to increase the dye filling ratio in a nanoparticle to thereby improve signal intensity per particle. A nanoparticle characterized by comprising at least silicon naphthalocyanine or a derivative thereof and a surfactant, wherein the ratio of the content of silicon naphthalocyanine or the derivative thereof to the total content of the particle constituent elements excluding the surfactant is 70% or more by weight. It becomes possible to increase the dye filling ratio in the nanoparticle without deteriorating the signal intensity (light absorptivity) per dye and improve signal intensity per particle.
