Abstract:
Provided is a dye-sensitized solar cell element which comprises at least one dye-sensitized solar cell. The dye-sensitized solar cell comprises: a first electrode; a second electrode that faces the first electrode; an oxide semiconductor layer that is provided on the first electrode or the second electrode; an electrolyte that is provided between the first electrode and the second electrode; and a photosensitizing dye that is adsorbed onto the oxide semiconductor layer. With respect to this dye-sensitized solar cell element, the coverage defined by the formula below is 0.80-0.98. Coverage = m/msat (In the formula, m represents the adsorption amount (unit: mol/cm2) of the photosensitizing dye on the oxide semiconductor layer; and msat represents the saturation adsorption amount (unit: mol/cm2) of the photosensitizing dye on the oxide semiconductor layer.)
