Abstract:
A highly efficient dye-sensitized solar cell wherein electron transfer loss between a conductive film and a dye adsorption metal oxide film is suppressed. In the dye-sensitized solar cell, an electrolyte (6) is arranged between a front side electrode (10) and a facing side electrode (11) which faces the front side electrode. In the front side electrode, a board (1), a transparent conductive film (2) such as an ITO and an FTO, and the sensitizing dye adsorption metal oxide (titanium oxide, etc.) (3) are successively stacked. The surface roughness Ra of a surface having a contact with the sensitizing dye adsorption metal oxide of the transparent conductive film of the front side electrode is smoothed to be within a range of 0.1-10nm by means of polishing and the like.
