Abstract:
A dynamic pressure bearing (10) having, as a matrix, a compact (10') of a raw material powder containing a metal powder that allows an oxide coating to be formed, the dynamic pressure bearing (10) having dynamic pressure generators (A1, A2) die-molded on an inner peripheral surface (8a) that form a radial bearing clearance with respect to the outer peripheral surface (2a1) of a shaft to be supported (shaft member (2)), wherein the dynamic pressure bearing (10) has an oxide coating (11) formed between particles of the metal powder by the water vapor treatment of the compact (10'), and has a ring crushing strength of 150 MPa or above.
