Abstract:
A dynamic pressure bearing that can be used for rotation in both normal and reverse directions. Dynamic pressure groove regions (A1, A2) for normal rotation and reverse rotation, respectively, are formed in the inner periphery of a bearing sleeve (3) made of sintered metal. A shaft member (2) is radially supported without contact in normal and reverse rotation directions by action of fluid dynamic pressure produced in an radial bearing clearance between the outer periphery of the shaft member (2) and the dynamic pressure groove regions (A1, A2) in the inner periphery of the bearing sleeve (3).
