Abstract:
The present invention relates to the technical field of optical access networks. Disclosed is a dynamic wavelength allocation method applicable to minimum tuning in a TWDM-PON. An optical line terminal (OLT) groups optical network units (ONU) according to transmission wavelengths thereof. Before authorization of a polling cycle begins, the OLT collects bandwidth requests of all the ONUs and sorts the requests within a group in a descending order. Firstly, a wavelength which is free first is selected. Secondly, the wavelength is preferentially allocated to an ONU which performs transmission at the wavelength in a previous cycle, and a transmission data window thereof is assigned. The wavelength tuning frequency of an ONU can be reduced using an MWT wavelength allocation algorithm, and therefore the time delay of a system is favorably reduced. Meanwhile, the energy consumption caused by a tuning process is reduced, and the method better conforms to an environmental protective concept.
