Abstract:
Disclosed is a dynamo-electric machine provided with: a stator that has a stator core and a stator winding wound around the stator core; and a rotor supported to be rotatable with respect to the stator, and which has a rotor core that has formed thereon a plurality of magnetic poles, and auxiliary salient poles that generate reluctance torque between adjacent magnetic poles. Each of the magnetic poles of the rotor core is provided with a magnet insertion hole, a permanent magnet housed within the magnet insertion hole, and non-magnetic sections formed between the permanent magnet and the auxiliary salient poles. The stator side of the permanent magnet is either the North Pole or the South Pole, the other side is the other Pole, and the permanent magnets are magnetized such that the magnetization direction reverses on a per magnetic pole basis in the circumference direction of the rotor. In the rotor core, the stator side of the permanent magnets constitutes pole pieces, and the stator side of the non-magnetic sections constitutes bridge sections connecting the pole pieces and the auxiliary salient poles. The side of the non-magnetic section on the stator-side has a first side that extends along an arc-like virtual line that has the rotation axis as the center thereof and passes through a point nearest the stator-side of the permanent magnet insertion hole, and the side of the non-magnetic section at the auxiliary salient pole side has a second side extending in a direction opposite to the stator. The first and second sides are connected by a curve.
