A dynamo-electric machine (10), provided with a rotor (22) and a stator (23) obtained by winding stator windings (11, 12) in a plurality of slots (34) provided in the circumferential direction. The stator windings are configured from n groups of three-phase phase windings, where n is a power of 2. The slots have: first slots (34A) accommodating phase windings which are of the same group and the same phase, and in which the direction of energization is identical; and second slots (34B) accommodating phase windings which are of different groups and the same phase. In the stator, each of the first slots and the second slots are provided at prescribed intervals in the circumferential direction, and the three-phase phase windings are wound on the stator so that the winding interval for each phase is identical.
