Abstract:
An early warning method and apparatus for the present vehicle. The method comprises: determining a neighboring area of the present vehicle according to traveling information of the present vehicle; carrying out target classification on surrounding vehicles of the present vehicle to obtain neighboring vehicles in a plurality of directions and a set of distant vehicles in a plurality of directions; for any distant vehicle in the set of distant vehicles, calculating the minimum distance between a neighboring vehicle in each direction, which matches the direction of the distant vehicle, of the plurality of directions and the distant vehicle in a future period of time, and recording a time T when the minimum distance is less than a threshold value D; according to the recorded times T, sending, to the driver of the present vehicle, warning information for indicating, to the driver, an accidental collision accident that is not caused by the present vehicle and may occur in the direction of the neighboring vehicle corresponding to the minimum time T, or other accidental collision accidents. The invention is used for solving the problem of relatively low safety early-warning capability of the present vehicle when an accidental danger that is not caused by the present vehicle occurs in a surrounding vehicle of the present vehicle.
