Embodiments of the present disclosure provide an earthing switch, associated manufacturing method and switchgear. The earthing switch comprises a plurality of fixed contacts for a plurality of phases of the switchgear and each comprising a pair of contact fingers; and a plurality of movable contacts adapted to be driven to rotate between an open position and a closed position and each comprising a supporting section and a tubular coupling section attached to the supporting section, the supporting section and the tubular coupling section made of different materials, wherein the tubular coupling section is clamped between the pair of contact fingers in the closed position to close a ground loop and is detached from the pair of contact fingers in the open position to open the ground loop. With the movable contact comprising two sections made of different materials, the weight and the cost of the movable contact are allowed to be significantly reduced without affecting the performance of the earthing switch. Furthermore, the movable contact can move at a higher speed under the same driving power, thereby further improving the safety performance of the earthing switch.
