Abstract:
An earthquake-resistant latch mechanism made more compact by: comprising a case (11), a hook member (25) axially supported by the case (11) so as to be swingable, and a pendulum member (35) supported in a suspended manner by the case (11) so as to be capable of vibrating; the hook member (25) comprising a hook (27) on one side of a swinging axis (26) and, on the other side, a pendulum engagement section (28) having a through-hole (29) formed therein; the pendulum member (35) being arranged so as to penetrate the through-hole (29); a peripheral surface (40) facing the through-hole (29) being formed in a tapered shape; and by being configured such that the hook member (25) swings as a result of the peripheral surface (40) pushing up the inner circumference of the through-hole (29), when the pendulum member (35) shakes.
