Abstract:
An easily moldable acoustic material comprising an organic fiber nonwoven fabric composed of heat resisting staple fibers and thermoplastic fibers or thermoplastic staple fibers and, superimposed on at least one major surface of the organic fiber nonwoven fabric, a skin material, characterized in that the skin material is a wet nonwoven fabric of 0.1 to 0.8 g/cm3 bulk density containing a resin binder of glass transition temperature not higher than deep drawing or shallow drawing molding temperature. This easily moldable acoustic material excels in not only sound absorbing property but also moldability.
