Abstract:
Provided is a container lid (2) configured such that, when the container lid (2) which has been mounted on a neck section (32) of a container is being detached from the neck section and a handle piece (6) as well as a connection piece (12) of a shell (4) are repeatedly moved radially outward, or moved upward, and moved radially inward, or moved downward, a breakage of the connecting piece of the shell can be fully and reliably avoided at the boundary between a section of the connecting piece surrounded by a connection part (26) of the handle piece and a section thereof not surrounded by the connection part of the handle piece. An extended section (30) extending upward from an inner surface upper end of the connection part along an inner peripheral surface of a skirt wall (10) is provided to the handle piece; in a state where the container lid has been fitted onto the neck section, an upper end of the extended section of the handle piece is located opposing an outer peripheral surface of a locking protrusion (34) of the neck section, and in a state where a lower end of the skirt wall has been deformed radially inward, the upper end of the extended section of the handle piece is interposed between the inner peripheral surface of the skirt wall and the outer peripheral surface of the locking protrusion.
