Abstract:
An eccentric chuck enabling the easy positioning of a work at an eccentric position, immediate machining by a machine tool by instantaneously pressing and fixing the work positioned at the eccentric position, easy continuous machining of the same work, and easy and simple change of the eccentric position of the work even when the eccentric position of the work is changed. The eccentric chuck comprises a clamp boss (10) having slits radially in a cylindrical outer peripheral part and allowing the installation of a plurality of clamp claws therein so as to be compressingly deformed inward, a plurality of clamp claws (20a), (20b), (20c), and (20d) fitted to the clamp boss so as to be moved forward and backward in the center direction and holding the work (W) at the eccentric position, and an ended retaining ring (30) arranged around the outer periphery of the clamp boss and holding the clamp boss so as to be deformed by pressing. The outer periphery of the ended retaining ring is fixedly held on a chuck member fitted to the machine tool, and the work held by the plurality of clamp claws fitted to the clamp boss is held at the eccentric position.
