Abstract:
Provided is an echo reducer provided with: an acquisition unit (5A, 5A1, 5A2) for acquiring the frequency characteristic of a propagation system extending from the sound emission unit (201A, 201B) to the sound collection unit (202A, 202B) of a sound emission/collection device (200A, 200A1, 200A2, 200A3, 200B, 200B3); a determination unit (3A, 3A3) for determining whether or not both of a transmission signal and a reception signal in the sound emission/collection device (200A, 200A1, 200A2, 200A3, 200B, 200B3) are in a state of containing sound; and an attenuation unit (1A) for attenuating, when the determination unit (3A, 3A3) determines that both of the transmission signal and the reception signal in the sound emission/collection device (200A, 200A1, 200A2, 200A3, 200B, 200B3) are in the state of containing sound, the reception signal outputted to the sound emission unit (201A, 201B) with an attenuation characteristic that corresponds to the frequency characteristic of the propagation system acquired by the acquisition unit (5A, 5A1, 5A2).
