Abstract:
The present invention enables the accurate detection of a double-talk state, and the appropriate suppression of an echo on the basis of the detection results. When a sound is output from a speaker and only the output sound is input to a microphone, a frequency mask based on the power spectrum or the amplitude spectrum of a learning signal transmitted over a transmission side signal path and a power spectrum value or an amplitude spectrum value of the input signal input from the microphone are compared for each frequency band to detect whether there is double-talk. If a signal is not transmitted over the transmission side signal path and transmission of a signal over a reception side signal path is detected, an echo suppressor is used to perform processing that suppresses echoes in respect to the input signal.
