Abstract:
The present invention relates to an eco-friendly recycling method for a waste battery. The method comprises: a waste battery raw material introducing step (S10) of separating a battery cell from a medium and large-sized waste battery and introducing the battery cell into a discharge system; an electrical discharge step (S20) of coupling an electric wire to the battery cell to connect the battery cell to a discharger so as to perform electrical discharge; a shredding step (S30) of introducing the battery cell discharged through the electrical discharge step (S20) into a shredding system and shredding the battery cell to a predetermined size in an inactive atmosphere; a heat treatment step (S40) of introducing the shredded material obtained through the shredding step (S30) into a heat treatment system and continuously performing one or both of a low-temperature sintering step (S41) or a high-temperature sintering step (S42); and a valuable material acquisition step (S50) of acquiring a valuable material including nickel, cobalt, and manganese by shredding and classifying a composite compound sintered through the heat treatment step (S40). Therefore, the waste battery recycling process is performed in a more environmentally friendly and efficient manner.
