Abstract:
The invention relates to an eddy current brake with a stator, comprising at least two teeth (7, 8, 29, 30, 32, 34) having alternating polarity on both sides of a gap (9) in which an electrically conductive, movable machine element (22, 23) is braked. In this way, a higher field gradient is achieved along the direction of motion, which increases the braking force.
