Title:
EDDY CURRENT SENSOR AND TURBO CHARGER ROTATION DETECTING DEVICE USING SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/114564
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[Problem] To provide, without increasing manufacturing cost, an inexpensive eddy current sensor having a small-sized configuration and capable of accurately detecting the rotational speed of a turbo charger and to provide a turbo charger rotation detecting device using the eddy current sensor. [Solution] The eddy current sensor has a resonance circuit formed by a coil disposed in the vicinity of a target and a capacitor and measures displacement on the basis of a voltage change caused by the relative movement between the target and the coil. In the eddy current sensor, the coil is formed by being wound around a columnar ferrite core and mounted on the compressor of a turbo charger, thereby detecting the rotational speed of the turbo charger.
