Abstract:

A deceleration device is provided with a rotor (1), a plurality of fins (8), a plurality of permanent magnets (3), a switching mechanism, a first cover (21), a second cover (22), and a cover switching mechanism. The fins (8) are provided on an outer circumferential surface (1a) of the rotor (1) and are inclined with respect to a rotation direction of the rotor (1). The magnets (3) are arranged inside the rotor (1). The switching mechanism switches between a braking state and a non-braking state. The first cover (21) faces an end surface (1c) of the rotor (1) and has a plurality of holes (21a). The second cover (22) projects from an outer peripheral edge of the first cover (21) to the rotor (1) side. The cover switching mechanism opens the holes (21a) during the braking state and closes the holes (21a) during the non-braking state. The first cover (21) is disposed on the side where a leading end (8a) of the fins (8) is present. The deceleration device can suppress windage loss and ensure heat release performance.
