Abstract:
This edge working apparatus is provided with: an X direction drive device, which reciprocates in the X direction; a cutter supporting member, which is supported by means of the X direction drive device and is capable of traveling in the Y direction, and which supports a cutter member that extends in the Z direction perpendicular to the XY plane; a guide member, which has a shape that corresponds to a planned working shape when viewed from the Z direction, and which guides the cutter supporting member such that the cutter member moves along the planned working shape; and a Y direction position changing mechanism that changes, in the Y direction, the position of the cutter supporting member with respect to the material to be worked. The Y direction position changing mechanism changes the position of the cutter supporting member such that the cutter member returns further inside compared with the time when the cutter member advances.
