Abstract:
Provided is an editing method which enables an image reflecting the intentions of a creator or editor of the image to be displayed on a display device. The editing method includes: an acquisition step for acquiring a high quality image and a first low quality image, which are static images showing the same scene, and editing management information indicating whether editing of at least one image among the high quality image and the first low quality image is permitted; and an editing step in which, if the editing management information indicates that editing of the at least one image is permitted, the at least one image is edited. If the editing management information indicates that editing of the at least one image is not permitted, the at least one image is not edited.
