Abstract:
Provided is a method for deriving endothelial cells from pluripotent stem cells, including the following steps: a) a step in which differential stimulus is imparted to pluripotent stem cells to form cell clusters containing at least 20% endothelial precursor cells from pluripotent stem cell; b) a step in which said cell cluster is cultured in a medium containing cAMP and VEGF, to a state in which the proportion of all cells which are endothelial precursor cells is at least 40%; and c) a step in which the cell clusters obtained in b) are cultivated in a medium containing VEGF to derive endothelial cells from endothelial precursor cells.
