Abstract:
An EGR device 21 comprises an EGR passage 22 and an EGR cooler 24. The EGR cooler 24 includes a casing 31, a heat exchanger 32 provided to the casing 31, an inlet opening 33 through which an EGR gas is introduced into the casing 31, and an outlet opening 34 through which the EGR gas is guided out of the casing 31, the outlet opening 34 being disposed at a position higher in a vertical direction than the inlet opening 33. The casing 31 includes a body section 31a to which the heat exchanger 32 is provided and an outlet section 31c which spans from the body section 31a to the outlet opening 34, the outlet section 31c being formed such that the flow path area in the vicinity of the outlet opening 34 is smaller than the flow path area in the vicinity of the body section 31a. The outlet section 31c is provided with a first gas flow suppressor (a reversing wall 37, or the like) for suppressing the flow of a portion of the EGR gas flowing from the body section 31a toward the outlet opening 34.
