The flow path of a nozzle portion (201) of an ejector is made up of a converging tapered portion (201a) of which cross-sectional flow path area is gradually reduced toward downstream (in the direction shown by an arrow (11)); a cylindrical flow path portion (201b) which has a continuous cylindrical shape of a predetermined length (L2) from the downstream end of the converging tapered portion (201a); and a diverging tapered portion (201c) which continuously follows the downstream end of the cylindrical flow path portion (201b) and is gradually increased in cross-sectional flow path area toward downstream. The provision of the cylindrical flow path portion (201b) allows for shortening the length (L3) of the diverging tapered portion (201c).
