Abstract:
An ejector, provided with: a nozzle unit (110) for causing a high-pressure coolant flowing in from the high-pressure side of the refrigeration cycle to expand by decompression; a suction unit (120) for suctioning a low-pressure coolant using the suction force of the discharged coolant discharged from the nozzle unit (110); and a diffuser unit (130) for causing a mixed coolant, which is a mixture of the discharged coolant discharged from the nozzle unit (110) and the low-pressure coolant suctioned from the suction unit (120), to decelerate and increase in pressure. In the ejector, there are provided: a swirl channel (140) for causing the high-pressure coolant to swirl and causing the coolant in a gas-liquid mixed phase state to flow into the nozzle unit (110), the swirl channel (140) being installed upstream from the nozzle unit (110); and a flow rate variation mechanism (150, 150A) capable of changing the flow rate of the high-pressure coolant flowing into the swirl channel (140), the flow rate variation mechanism (150, 150A) being provided upstream from the swirl channel (140). It thereby becomes possible to improve nozzle efficiency and operate in a manner that is suitable for the load of the refrigeration cycle.
