Abstract:
A swirling space (30a) that creates an air-liquid mixture state by swirling a refrigerant includes an upstream swirling space (301) that swirls a refrigerant flowing in from the exterior and a downstream swirling space (302) that swirls the refrigerant from the upstream swirling space (301) and guides the same to a nozzle channel (13a). Furthermore, the cross sectional shape of an outlet (38e) of the upstream swirling space (301) is formed to be annular along the outer circumference of the upstream swirling space (301). Thus, obstruction of the flow of refrigerant retained and circulating in the downstream swirling space (302) by the refrigerant flowing from the upstream swirling space (301) to the downstream swirling space (302) can be suppressed, and reduction in the proportion of the gas-phase refrigerant in the refrigerant, in an air-liquid mixture state, flowing to the nozzle channel (13a) can be suppressed. As a result, boiling of the refrigerant in the nozzle channel (13a) can be facilitated, and a decrease in nozzle efficiency of the ejector, which causes a decrease in the pressure of a fluid in an air-liquid mixture state due to swirling, can be suppressed.
