Abstract:
Provided is an ejector wherein a passage formation member (35) is disposed in the interior of a body (30) that has a space formed therein. Provided between an inner peripheral surface of the body (30) and the passage formation member (35) are a nozzle passage (13a) that functions as a nozzle, a mixing passage (13d) for mixing an injection refrigerant injected from the nozzle passage (13a) and a suction refrigerant suctioned from a suctioning passage (13b), and a diffuser passage (13c) for converting kinetic energy of the refrigerant flowing out from the mixing passage (13d) into pressure energy. The mixing passage (13d) has a shape configured so that the passage cross-sectional area gradually reduces going toward a refrigerant flow downstream side. Due to this configuration, liquid droplets in the injection refrigerant and gas-phase refrigerant in the mixed refrigerant are caused to be thoroughly mixed, and a decrease in ejector efficiency is prevented.
