Abstract:
Provided is an ejector wherein a shaft (38) which is connected to a passage forming member (35) for forming, within a body (30), refrigerant passages (13a, 13c) is supported in a slidable manner by a support member (39) affixed to the body. A drive mechanism (37) axially displaces the shaft to change the cross-sectional area of the refrigerant passages. Further, a diaphragm (371) which applies a load for expanding the refrigerant passages and a coiled spring (41) which applies a load for contracting the refrigerant passages are provided as vibration suppression members for the passage forming member. Both a first movable end section (MP1) of the diaphragm and a second movable end section (MP2) of the coiled spring are arranged on the same axial side relative to the sliding region (39a) of the support member. As a result of this configuration, the cross-sectional area of the refrigerant flow passages formed inside can be accurately changed in response to drive force outputted from the drive mechanism.
