Abstract:
Performance characteristics of 'known art longitudinal axis sliding type anchor' is satisfactory, while that of 'known art longitudinal axis sliding type elastic rail fastening clips' are not satisfactory. Lack of vertical adjustability of deflection of said clips causes 'deficit of clamping force', and therefore, longitudinal creep restraint provided by said clips reduces. Said clips do not permit use of thicker rail pads than design thickness to reduce 'deficit of vertical elasticity of rail track' that happens due to fouling of ballast. Thin rail pads cause premature fatigue of rails due to 'insufficient vertical elasticity of railway track', which leads to increase in "final effective value of dynamic wheel impact loading that is incidental per one sleeper". Elastic rail fastening assembly provided 'employs known art longitudinal axis sliding type anchor', 'facilitates adjustment of deflection of elastic rail fastening clip', and 'facilitates use of relatively thicker rail pads than design thickness'.
