Abstract:
Provided is an elastic wave device with which it is possible to suppress stopband response. An elastic wave device 1 comprising a piezoelectric substrate 2 and an IDT electrode 6 provided on the piezoelectric substrate 2. The IDT electrode 6 has a first bus bar 7a and a second bus bar 8a that face each other, a plurality of first electrode fingers 7b, a plurality of second electrode fingers 8b, a plurality of first offset electrodes 7c, and a plurality of second offset electrodes 8c. A first envelope A1 inclines toward the elastic wave propagation direction, where the first envelope A1 is a virtual line connecting the tips of the plurality of first electrode fingers 7b. A second envelope B1 inclines toward the elastic wave propagation direction, where the second envelope B1 is a virtual line connecting the tips of the plurality of second electrode fingers 8b. The direction in which the first offset electrode 7c extends and the direction in which the second offset electrode 8c extends incline toward a direction orthogonal to the elastic wave propagation direction.
